The hand moving across the entire scale touches the neck 100% of the time while playing. This bass features a super comfortable satin finish on the back of the neck. This finish is not glossy and will never become sticky, always feeling very pleasant to the touch. The tinted satin finish not only looks good but also gives the instrument its classic appearance.

High-performance humbucker pickup

The high-performance pickup is designed for clean and undistorted reproduction of natural bass tones. Two rows of large magnets pump information from the strings to the pickup and feed the 2-band active EQ preamp. The tones can be aggressive, wild, or mellow. It’s up to you to find your sound. Three adjustment screws help find the right pickup position in both height and angle relative to the strings.

Neck adjustment

Every instrument occasionally needs a neck adjustment; with SUB instruments, it is simple and hassle-free. No special tools are required. The adjustment is made using the adjustment wheel at the neck joint to the body, which controls the truss rod running through the neck to the head. There is no need to remove the neck or strings, and the adjustment is very precise.

Battery and output jack

The active 2-band EQ preamp is powered by a 9V battery, stored in an easily accessible compartment at the bottom of the body. Simply open the compartment and snap in a new battery. Under normal use, the battery should last for several months. The output for the cable jack is located on the top of the body on the control panel. The jack is well secured and does not easily come loose. Additionally, it is not damaged when placed in a stand. SUB instruments use high-durability jacks that withstand long-term use.
