Sterling by Music Man instruments are the latest addition to the Music Man family. Models produced under this brand are faithful replicas of the "adult" instruments made in the USA, but are available at a significantly more favorable price. The final setup and quality control of these instruments made in Indonesia are conducted in California, USA. The RAY34 is a standalone version of the legendary Music Man StingRay Bass. The StingRay was the first instrument created in this company's workshops in 1975. Design-wise, it is based on the Fender Precision Bass, but it is a very innovative instrument that offers completely different possibilities. Currently, the StingRay is available in both 4 and 5-string versions. Like all Sterlings, it features high playability, above-standard quality, and great sound.

Body and Neck

The body of this bass guitar is made from solid swamp ash. The neck, which is bolted to the body with six screws, is made from maple wood. Its scale length is a standard 864 mm, and the width of the nut is 43 mm. The instrument is equipped with 21 frets.

Pickups and Electronics

The instrument features one Music Man Designed Humbucker pickup. It has a 3-band active preamp, allowing you to adjust bass, mid, and treble, as well as overall volume. The tuning hardware on the headstock is arranged in the traditional "Music Man way," meaning 3 + 1. On the other side, the strings are anchored in a chrome vintage bridge designed by Music Man made of hardened steel. The guitar also has an adjustable neck truss rod that can be adjusted without removing the strings or other hardware.
