The VideoMicro is a compact microphone designed to enhance the audio of your videos. It features a high-quality cardioid condenser microphone capsule that ensures excellent sound recording with a wide range of cameras. Thanks to its directional pattern, the VideoMicro eliminates surrounding noise and focuses on the subject being recorded.
Its sensor is much more forgiving than other "camera" microphones from RØDE, providing a more natural sound when recording indoors. The microphone body is made of aluminum, making it highly resistant to RF interference, and the surface is coated with a premium black ceramic anti-reflective finish. The microphone capsule is powered by the connected device.
The VideoMicro also includes a shock mount with a Rycote Lyre camera shoe. Its flexible suspension made of durable thermoplastic provides very effective minimization of unwanted vibrations when handling the camera and cable. Additionally, the Rycote Lyre is practically indestructible, never wears out, bends, or stops damping.
The package also includes the WS9 windshield, which is made of synthetic fur and foam core, designed for outdoor use where wind and ambient noise can adversely affect recordings. Optionally, the SC7 TRS > TRSS cable is available for the VideoMicro, allowing use with smartphones, providing crystal clear, directional sound for video and applications such as Periscope.
