Ibanez's Artwood series instruments are based on traditional craftsmanship and acquired know-how, combined with modern technological processes.

The body of the Dreadnought model AW84-WK is made from okoume - with a solid okoume top and layered okoume back and sides. The neck, crafted from exotic nyatoh wood, is attached to a laurel fingerboard featuring twenty frets. White position dots make it easier to navigate the fingerboard.

The strings are secured with company-branded chrome die-cast tuning machines with an 18:1 gear ratio and a bridge made from figwood. The Ibanez Advantage bridge pins offer advantages over standard models, including easy handling and secure string retention. The stylish appearance of the instrument is accentuated by traditional elements such as the rosette made of black and white rings and a black pickguard.
