The Music Man ME044W Compensated White Plastic Nut is an original replacement nut designed for Ernie Ball Music Man electric guitars.

The Music Man ME044W is an original compensated nut designed to provide individual tuning compensation for each string, significantly improving intonation—especially in the first positions of the fretboard. It’s an ideal choice when you want your Music Man to play in tune across open chords and low frets while keeping the factory-correct feel and fit.

• Compensated design: optimises intonation for each string, particularly in the lower register
• Original Music Man replacement part: intended for guitars that came with a compensated nut from the factory

• Nut width (length): 42 mm (for 1-5/8" neck width)
• String spacing (E–E): 34 mm
• Height: 6 mm on the bass side, tapering to 4 mm on the treble side

• Does not fit John Petrucci (JP) models or instruments equipped with a locking nut (Floyd Rose).
• Not intended for Sterling by Music Man licensed instruments without extensive modification.
• This is a “blank”: the nut has pre-cut guide slots, but after installation the slots must be filed deeper and widened to match your string gauges and preferred action. Compensated nuts also do not fit standard straight nut slots found on many other guitar brands.
